Medical Physicist at Dalhousie University, N.S. Canada and the Cape Brenton Cancer Center since 2001. He has a vast experience in testing and commissioning treatment planning systems, linear accelerators and Brachytherapy equipment. During the past year he was the Chief Medical Physicist and Manager of the Radiation Therapy Department at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Center before joining the Gulf International Cancer Center in 2007.
Graduated from Albany University, New York, with a B.S. Degree in Nursing and received her Master’s Degree as an Adult Nurse Practitioner from Stony Brook University, Long Island, New York. She is certified in Oncology Nursing (OCN) and also Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). She has exceptional nursing experience, with 20 years in Oncology nursing. Among other duties, Barbara will oversee the Brachytherapy Programs at the Gulf International Cancer Center.
Graduated from The University of Jordan - Faculty of Pharmacy. He worked at King Hussein Cancer Center, Amman, Jordan from 2005 to 2007, then American Hospital Dubai, UAE as Oncology Pharmacist, 2007-2008, he joined the Gulf International Cancer Center in Jan 2008.
Yvonne Furlong, RSCN, RN, ONC Certified, is the Clinic Nurse Manager at the GICC. Yvonne graduated with a B.Sc Honors degree at Manchester University U.K.
Prior to working in GICC, Yvonne held several positions in the Ambulatory Chemotherapy Day Services, at the Christie Hospital, Manchester, one of the largest cancer treatment centers in Europe.
I worked till 2002 in Emergency room at sacree-coeur Hospital Beirut Lebanon then had several trainings and worked as registered nurse and technologist in Nuclear Medicine Departement at Mount Lebanon Hospital Beirut Lebanon for PET-CT scan,Gamma camera and radiation protection program till 2008.
In January 2009 I began work at Gulf Interational Cancer Center on PET-CT scan and achieve a training on the machine Discovery STE General Electric in april 2009.
