Maryam
Aslani, M.D., FRCPC
Dr. Aslani graduated from Shahid Beheshti
University, Tehran, Iran in 1993, where she received her
Diploma in Radiation Oncology in 1996, ranking at the
top on nationwide specialty exam. Dr. Aslani joined
McGill University, Montreal, Canada in 2002 where she
completed her residency in Radiation Oncology. She
became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of
Canada (FRCPC) in 2007. She is an expert in IMRT and HDR
Brachytherapy and specializes in breast and
gynecological cancers.
André
Rizk, M.D.
Dr. Rizk graduated
from Saint Joseph's university, Beirut, Lebanon in 1989.
He completed his internal medicine residency training at
Boston University in 1996 and his medical oncology and
hematology fellowship in 1999 at Tufts University,
Boston, MA, USA. Dr. Rizk is American Board of Internal
Medicine certified in both Medical Oncology and
Hematology. He was the director of the Cancer Care
Services at the American Hospital-Dubai until August
2008. He joined the Gulf International Cancer Center in
September 2008 as chief of Medical Oncology and
Hematology.
Falah
Al Khatib, M.D., FRCSI
Dr. Al
Khatib graduated from Ain Shams University, Cairo Egypt
in 1969. He completed his training in the UK and
obtained DMRT from the University of London in 1980, and
the Fellowship of Faculty of Radiologist Royal College
of Surgeon, Ireland (FFRRCSI) in 1984. He worked as
Consultant Clinical Oncologist and Chief of Radiotherapy
Department at Tawam Hospital, Al Ain, UAE from 1986
until he joined the Gulf International Cancer Center.
Amjad Waheed, M.Sc.
Medical
Physicist at Dalhousie University, N.S. Canada and the
Cape Brenton Cancer Center since 2001. He has a vast
experience in testing and commissioning treatment
planning systems, linear accelerators and Brachytherapy
equipment. During the past year he was the Chief Medical
Physicist and Manager of the Radiation Therapy
Department at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital
and Research Center before joining the Gulf
International Cancer Center. |
